A. Oscar Miller, 83, of Moncton and formerly of Upland Rd., passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Johnson) Miller. Oscar was retired from CNR Electrical Maintenance with over 39 years service. He attended First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed camping, playing ring toss and spending time with friends and family. Oscar will be sadly missed by his wife of over 65 years, Mavis (Pentland) Miller, sons, William (Lana Foster) of Oakville, ON, Fred (Susan Deware) of Moncton and Terry (Judy Wolthers) of Dartmouth, NS, 12 loving grandchildren and 14 loving great grandchildren, sister, Marion Kelly of Campbellton, half brother, Henry Aube (Gilbet) and half sister, Lisa Richardson, both of Campbellton, daughter in law, Sharon Wilson, Fredericton, several loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Donnie “Dusty” Miller (1997).
In keeping with Oscar’s wishes, no public visitation hours. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 4:00pm. Rev. Gary Cowper officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
