Fred “Jiggs” Evans, born on November 8, 1924, husband of Laura Evans, passed away unexpectedly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Monday, March 14, 2011, at the age of 86 years. Fred is survived by his brother Don, loving wife Laura of 65 years, one daughter, four sons, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, mother, three brothers, son Barry and son-in-law Gerry. A Memorial Service for the late Fred Evans will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Moose Jaw, SK.
