It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Hancock of Forteau, NL, announce his passing at Labrador South Health Centre Long Term Care Unit in Forteau on March 16, 2011 at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories brothers. Balfor, Oswald (Burnette), Winston (Donna), and Kevin; sisters Leah and Marjorie Hopkins (Richard); nephews, nieces, and a very special friend Thomas Coates, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Blanche Hancock. Visitation took place at the English Point Gospel Hall on Thursday from where the funeral service was held on Friday, March 18, at 2 p.m. with Mr. Francis Barney and Mr. Eric Fowler officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre=s Funeral Home, L’Anse au Loup.
