It is with sad hearts, that we announce the passing of Ivan MacDonald at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 17, 2011.
Born in Florence, he was the son of the late Norman and Maude (Piper) MacDonald.
Ivan was most happy when hunting and when Jenna would come to visit. He was always ready to tell a good story, he loved to ice fish and spend time with friends.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Marion (Fry); daughters, Gilda (Daniel), Jeanette (Scott); sons, Norman (Gail), Wayne (Barb) and Stuart; grandchildren, AJ, Zach, Jordan and Chase. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Marguerite, June, Deborah, Daniel, Garry and Donald; as well as aunt Mae Boutilier.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Trinity Cemetery, Sydney Mines, at a later date.
