CAREY, Yvonne Marie– Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Henderson Hospital, Hamilton, Ont., March 23, 2011, Yvonne Carey in her 53rd year, formerly of St. John’s. Predeceased by her parents Bride and Robert Carey and step-father Paul. Leaving with fond and loving memories her partner Bob Mahoney; two daughters: Jennifer and Dawn; five grandchildren; eight brothers: Donald, David (Georgina), Robert, Wade (Theresa), Derrick (Mary), Brian (Charlotte), Rick and Roger; five sisters: Gail (Wayne Howell), Marlene (Charlie Strong), Sharon (John Bridger), June (Ken Nagy) and Laura, also a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place in Hamilton, Ont. Yvonne’s remains will be returned to St. John’s for burial at a later date. donations in her name may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice. God Bless you Yvonne! Rest in peace.
