NOSEWORTHY, Hubert Gerald– Passed away suddenly after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, at the Leonard A. Miller Center, on March 24, 2011, Hubert Gerald Noseworthy, aged 67 years. Hubert was a long time employee of the City of St. John’s, Superintendent of Bowring Park and Manager of Parks and Open Spaces. He was also heavily involved with sports, recreation and community groups, as well as an active participant of Tidy Towns. He is an Honorary Life Member of the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee. He is predeceased by his parents Gerald and Madeline, as well as his brother Eric. Left with precious, loving memories his wife and soulmate Margaret (Kiwi); three daughters Sharon Hagerty, Wanda Noseworthy (Joe) and Renee Tracey (Karl); grandchildren Keiron and Julia, CJ and Travis, Charlotte and Thomas; brothers Evan (Linda), Wayne (Yvonne), Roy (Kathy), Dale (Shirley); sisters Barbara Flynn (George Budden), Sandra (Mattie Evans - predeceased), June (Randy O’Keefe), Ruth and Bonnie (Bernard Yetman); sister-in-law Elizabeth Noseworthy; mother-in-law Leni Bakker; sister-in-law Tina Hoogenberg (Ron); brother-in-law Andre Bakker (Judith), as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral Service to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 from First United Church. As expressions of sympathy donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
