STAPLETON, MARGARET MARY (Healey). Passed peacefully away after a short illness at Masonic Park Nursing Home, Mount Pearl on March 26th, 2011, Margaret Stapleton, age 95. Predeceased by her husband Benedict in 1998, and her brothers and sisters, Thomas, Annie Sullivan, Stephen, Ronald, Marie McKenna, infant James, and her half brother and sister, Philip and Frances (Chicago). Leaving to mourn sons John (Mary), Vancouver; Harold (Gerri), Mount Pearl; Allan (Marie), Hamilton; Neal (Molly), Thompson; and Bill (Theresa), Halifax; sister Patricia Ciano (Hawaii); grandchildren, Robert, Karen, Kenny, Anne, Mark, Jeffrey, Paul, Leigh, Nancy, Cora, Matthew, and David; great grandchildren, Christian, Kaylean, Sage, Emory, Max, Sarah, and Elizabeth; a large number of nephews and nieces including special niece Tess Kennedy; sister in law Anne Healey, and special friend Sally Keating. Born in Grand Falls-Windsor, Marg spent most of her life there except for a few short years in her teens when she and her family lived in Holyrood, C.B. Marg was very active in the Knights of Columbus Ladies and the Altar Society and had many fond memories of her auction and bridge clubs’ friends. In her later years she lived in Toronto, Florida and St. John’s. Wake to be held at Central Funeral Home, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Monday, March 28th from 7 – 9 pm and on Tuesday, from 2 – 4 pm and 7 -9 pm with Vigil. Funeral to take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30th. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Masonic Park Nursing Home for their care during the past nine months, and especially for their care of Margaret and support to her family during her recent illness. May Margaret rest in place.
