Passed away peacefully “with a wink and a smile” at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2011 in his 74th year. Loving father of Florence Duplessis (Joseph), Pauline Green (Brian), Millage Young, Tammy Stillwell (Mark) and Sandradee Young. Cherished grandfather of John-Paul, Brian, Michael, Tinamarie, Josephine, Robbie, Samantha, Summer, Gage and Seanna and great grandfather of Kimberly, Chloe, Natalie and Abigail. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers George, Gorden, Michael, Curtis, Richard, Edward, Rodney, Kevin and Lissie; sisters Marie, Agnes and Anne; nephews Serial, Kevin, Ed, Chris, Rick and their families and his former wife Sylvia Young. Predeceased by his parents Alfred (Fred) and Josephine Young and step-mother Loretta Young. Millage spent many years working for the St. Lawrence Seaway as a Wheel Man and Deck Hand. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Rev. Paul McDonald will conduct the funeral service on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. Private interment in the family plot in Newfoundland at a later date.
