HUBLEY, Ella Mae - 89 of Bridgetown, formerly of East Torbrook, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, with her family by her side. Born September 27, 1921 in West Torbrook, she was a daughter of the late Melbourne and Abby (Wessel) Parker. After raising her family, Ella went to work for several local farms and Middleton Dry Cleaners. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, square dancing and going to Country Music shows. Ella travelled out west to visit family on Vancouver Island and in Ontario. She was a member of the Torbrook United Baptist Church. Ella is survived by her husband, Otis Hubley, Parker’s Cove, NS; sons, Phillip Parker, Saint John, NB; Stewart (Kay) Marshall, East Torbrook; Edgar (Margaret) Marshall, Port Alberni, BC; daughters, Margaret (Donald) Morse, Harmony, Kings County; Elaine (Peter) Dunford, Bedford, NS and Ellen (Ernie) Caldwell, Lower Sackville, NS; sisters, Marie Trimper, Ward Road and Mabel Morris, Elmsdale; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Marshall; brothers, Edward and Aubrey Parker and great granddaughter, Abby Harris. Visitation was held Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, where the funeral service was held Friday, April 1, 2011 with Rev. Bill McLeod and Rev. Chuck McGuire officiating. Interment will be in the Tremont Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association; Mountain Lea Lodge or the Torbrook United Baptist Church.
