Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2011, Mr. Leslie W. Caravan of Bay Roberts, aged 87 years. Predeceased by parents Walter and Fanny Caravan (nee Samways); wife Phyllis Caravan (nee Parsons); brothers: Arthur (Anita), Roy; brother-in-law Chesley Belbin. Leaving to mourn sons: Robert Caravan, Florida, Phillip (Cathy) Caravan, St. John’s; daughters: Lois Anne (Noel) Oates, Bay Roberts, Janice McDonald, South River, Paulette (Tom) St. Croix, Bay Roberts; sisters: Lois Belbin, Bay Roberts, Velma (Haig) Young, St. John’s; brothers: Earl (Lorraine), Richmond, BC, Isaac (Louise), Nova Scotia, Bert (Clarice), Coley’s Point, Bruce (Phyllis), Bay Roberts, David (Sadie), Country Road; eight grandchildren: Michael, Stephen, Ryan, Justin, Leslie-Anne, Stephen, Katie, Nicholas; two great-grandchildren: Riley, Felicity; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Tuesday 3-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 10-12 Noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from Grace United Church, Coley’s Point. Interment in the Grace United Cemetery, Coley’s Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lung Association of Newfoundland and Labrador or a charity of one’s choice.
