KEHOE, James Christopher “Jimmy” – age 39, Yarmouth, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at home after a long-time disability; he suffers no more. Born February 20, 1978 in Ireland, Jimmy was a soft soul. He loved his family and his family was the most important thing in the world to him. He leaves behind his father, James Kehoe, Newfoundland and his mother Sueanne (Robert) Robicheau, Yarmouth; a sister, Helena Kehoe (Scott Lawrence) and a brother, Steven Kehoe (Katelyn Chandler), as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Derek Kehoe. Jimmy enjoyed music, playing guitar and collecting and making creative pieces of art. He also had a love for pets, especially dogs and cats – they all gravitated towards him. He was a sweet man who suffered his whole life with mental illness and did what he could to try and combat it. We now know that he is reunited with his brother Derek and that they are together. He was deeply loved and will be missed and we take comfort in knowing that he will always be with us in our hearts. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by request. A family-and-friends service of love was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 at the residence of Suanne and Robert, 360 Saunders Rd., Deerfield; light refreshments followed. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia or to Epilepsy Canada. The family wishes to thank the RCMP and paramedics for their kind and considerate help, as well as to Huskilson’s for their kindness and respectfulness.
