Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Wednesday May 31, 2017 of R. Dale Johnstone of Long River aged 70 years. Born in Summerside, February 5, 1947 son of Marion (Howard) Johnstone and the late Ralph Johnstone. Husband of Hilda (Pidgeon) Johnstone. Father of Karen Carragher and Kimberley (Allison) Gaudet. Grandfather of Andrew, Jordan and Emma Johnstone, Jenna Carragher and Isaac Gaudet. Brother-in law of Bill (Laura) Pidgeon, Evelyn Woodside, Brenda (Robert) Montgomery, Ruth (Clair) Sudsbury and Lorne Pidgeon. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Barry Johnstone and brother-in-law Wayne Woodside. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation by personal request. Public funeral service will be held Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook.
