It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving mother and grandmother, Elizabeth Doody of Dunville, age 91, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. Predeceased by her husband Daniel Doody (1982); her parents Richard and Gabriella Walsh; mother- and father-in-law Thomas and Ellen Doody; brothers John Tom (Bertha), Angus and Vincent (Margaret); sisters Anastasia, Mary, Rose (Andrew), Sadie (Gerard), Frances (Victor), Catherine (George) and Margaret; brothers-in-law James (Jenny), Leo (Annie), Lester (Sadie), Joe, Alphonsus (Hilda), and Thomas, and Michael Power; as well as sister-in-law Rita Knollmiller. Leaving to mourn her daughter Elizabeth (Aiden Browne), son Dan (Lisa), and her loving granddaughter Danielle Browne, her brother-in-law Leonard Doody (Elizabeth), sisters-in-law Clarissa Power and Agnes Doody, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. We would also like to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Placentia Health Centre and St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their compassion and kindness. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday and Monday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, daily. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 am on Tuesday, June 6th at St. Anne's Church, Dunville.
