Elva Florence Clark
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” “Gone where?” Gone from my sight. That is all. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: “Here she comes!” And that is dying – author Henry Scott Holland - The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, on Monday, June 5th, 2017 of Elva (Wigmore) Clark, Summerside and formerly of Kensington, wife of the late Elwood K. Clark. Remembered with love by her children Nancy (Richard) Rogerson, Paul (Cindy) Clark and Susan Clark (Robert Richardson), her grandsons Ryan (deceased) (Jenna) Rogerson, Regan (Jay) Rogerson, Justin Clark and Phillip Clark and her great-grandchildren, Skye, Syra, Blaize, Breigh, Halle, Brooklyn and Bauer Rogerson. Also survived by sister Myrtle Wigmore and brother Eric (Ruth) Wigmore, brother and sisters-in-law, Betty Wigmore, Maudie Wigmore, Peggy Clark, Eileen Clark. and Dr. Marvin (Marla) Clark. Predeceased by her parents, sisters Glenn (Hammond) Ling and Helen (J.B.) MacLaine and brothers Lloyd (Dorothy), Willard, George (Elizabeth), Joseph (Ester) and Ralph Wigmore. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, P.E. Respecting Elva's wishes there will be no visiting hours or formal funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, following cremation.
