H. Sinclair Smith

It is with heavy hearts that the family of H. Sinclair Smith age 85 of Amherst announce his passing on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Miramichi Bay, NB he was a son of the late Harry and Edith (Kingston) Smith.
Sinclair worked for 20 years at Midway Lumber in Oakville, ON. After moving to Amherst in 1975 he was employed with Amherst Woodworking, which was later Premdor, where he worked both as a salesman and office worker until retirement.
He loved music, played many musical instruments and was involved with the local group Rustic Harmony, enjoying many evenings together. He spent many summers with his countless friends and family in the Miramichi.
Sinclair is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey (Cameron) Smith, two sons Gary (Lucie) of Trois Rivieres, QC and Grant of Bay du Vin, NB, grandchildren Cale, Jesse, Matthew, Dabney, Spencer, Jeffrey, Jane and Lucas, great grandchildren Avery, Finnley and Greyson, sister Frances Cameron of Miramichi Bay and daughter in law Debbie Gracie-Smith of Oakville, ON and MANY more extended family members.
Besides his parents, Sinclair was predeceased by his son Scott.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS (902) 667-9906.
Funeral service will be held on a later date at the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Bay du Vin, NB with interment in the Church Cemetery.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the VON or the Cumberland Regional Palliative Unit.
