Ralph MacLean
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincent Ralph MacLean, on June 7, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Ralph was born in Sydney, on June 17, 1954. He was the son of the late Red Jack and Theresa MacLean. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Mary “Queenie” Millsand; son, Vincent (Natasha and Payton). He is also survived by his brothers, John, (June) Sydney, Owen (Lynn), Brampton ON; sister, Anne Marie (Sean) MacLean, Vancouver, B.C. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his brothers, Barry & Kevin. Ralph was a proud employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia for forty-one years. He worked with the Sea Cadets, volunteered with the Kiwanis, and enjoyed watching his Toronto Maple Leafs.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
