Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, James Victor Parsons, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Madge (nee Brown) and the late Adelaide (nee Babstock). Father of Stephen (Susan) Parsons and Raymond and Jeffrey. Dear brother of Dorothy Butt. Stepfather to Hope Kinch, Tim and Roger Mott. Also survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Herbert Parsons, a brother Ches, sisters Audrey Schiell, Joyce Parsons, and Peggy Pike and his stepson Allan Jr. Mott. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, June 13th from 2-4 pm. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96, will hold a memorial service on Tuesday at 1:45 pm. A ceremony celebrating Vic's life will be held in Brockville Wesleyan Church, 35 Central Ave. West, on Wednesday at 11am. Cremation will follow with interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Brockville Wesleyan Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
