DOROTHY FLORENCE MEADE
July 17, 1929 – June 10, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Meade, age 87, announces her passing on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre. Born in Otter’s Point, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Susan Courtney. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons, Kenneth (Liz) Meade, Claude (Ellen Farrell) Meade, both of Fox-Roost, Jason (Mary) Meade, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, daughter, Olivia Seymour (Randall Cayea) Halifax, grandchildren, Kenny (Paula), Vanessa (Terry), Conrad (Tanya), Melica (Chris),Travis (Jackie), Ryan, Randy and Chandler, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Mackenzie, Hannah, Sky, Enzo and Ella, and sister, Ethel Clevett, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and caregiver, Maggie Meade. She was predeceased by her husband, Willard, son, Daniel, brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace, George, Clarence, Norman, Augustus, Eric Meade, and Ralph Clevett, Mary Jane Walters and Lorna Buffet. Visitation took place on Sunday, June 11, from 7-9 p.m. and continuing on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree, from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 13, 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne, interment to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Margaree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy will be made to local charities.
