Anna Dalton (formerly Anna Dohey)

Born: October 12th, 1929

Passed on: June 11th, 2017

Anna was born on Colinet Island and grew up in John's Pond, St. Mary's Bay. Predeceased by her parents Angela and James Dalton, brothers David and Clarence, and daughter Anna. She leaves five children Joseph (Tanya), Angela (Carl), Joan (Frank), Millie (Jeff), and Nora (Dean), grandchildren: Marc, Tim, Jesse, Chancey (Chris), Stephanie (Derek), Fiona, Forrest, great-grandchildren Brooke and Tyler. Anna raised her children in St. Bride's and moved to St. John's in 1981, where she took a job as cleaner at St. Clare's Hospital. While she was very quiet, she did enjoy interactions with people one on one. She loved being outdoors, walking and spending time at her cabin in John's Pond was her favourite activity. She enjoyed a good laugh and ... chocolate! She will be missed by Pot of Gold. Special thanks to her Homecare worker, Gail Martin. A sincere thanks to the nurses of 7 west at St. Clare's Hospital, whose professionalism, compassion and kindness went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks also to Dr.s Genge, MacDonald and Mercer, who oversaw Bam's care this week. Cremation has taken place. At her request, there will be no service, but she asked to have a Mass said in her memory. A Facebook page "Anna "Bam" Dalton Memorial" has been set up, where people are invited to share their memories.
