Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Cook

Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Cook

It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Cook age 73 of Amherst, announce her passing on Monday, June 12, 2017, in Gables Lodge, Amherst.
Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Winnifred (Bourgeois) Munroe.
Betty Ann considered her greatest sense of pride to be her children and grandchildren. She also had a lot of love in her heart for her extended family. She enjoyed every moment she spent with them. Another sense of joy in her life were the relationships she made through her involvement in the Amherst Stadium and ball park. Anyone who knew our mother would know that some of her greatest memories were on the beach at Amherst Shore.
She will be dearly missed by her children Jennifer (Rick) VanSnick of Amherst NS, Jason (Amy) Cook of Rothesay, NB; grandchildren Alyson and Alex VanSnick, Lola and Freya Cook; brother Walter “Junior” (Phyllis) Munroe, Oshawa, ON; sister Rachel (Larry) Latta, Lorneville; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother Gary and sister Joan Marquardt.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gables Lodge and Victorian Manor for their care and support.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Craig Christenson.
Reception will be held in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Betty Ann’s memory to Autumn House or the Alzheimer’ Society.
Condolences and sharing of memories may be shared with the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the Funeral Home Facebook page.
