SURETTE, Ann Margaret – age 66 of Yarmouth.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ann Margaret Surette announce her peaceful passing on June 14, 2017 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, Ann was the daughter of the late Stanley Penney and Margaret (Deveau) Penney. She is survived by husband Joseph Lawrence (Lolly) Surette of Yarmouth; daughter Jennifer (Surette) Purdy (George) of Plymouth; son Trevor Surette (Bernice) of Hebron; sisters Jean Woodroof of Yarmouth, Lynn Gavel of Pleasant Lake and Bernice Gould (Hugh) of Pleasant Valley; grandchildren Haylee, Emily, Gracie, Arielle and Morgan. Ann was predeceased by brother Neil Penney.
Ann worked as a registered nurse at Yarmouth Regional Hospital for 42 years. Ann loved spending much time with her grandchildren, gardening, reading books, baking, and enjoying a good game of Bingo.
There will be no visitation as per the family’s request. The funeral will be held on Monday June 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth with Rev. Mike Cannell officiating. Burial will take place in Highlands Plains Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Yarmouth County. Donations in Ann’s memory can be made to the Gilles Boudreau & Friends Cancer Help Fund.
