Mildred Mary Eileen (nee Gallant) Bernard
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday June 18th, 2017 of Mildred Mary Eileen (nee Gallant) Bernard of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 84 years. Mildred was born in Brockton, P.E.I. to the late George and Rose Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Fred Bernard and loving mother of Leroy (Susan), Jim and Bev, their father the late Roy Jeffery and son in-law Carl Deighan. Also lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren Lorinda, Trevor (Delane), Peter, Sean, Rebecca (Josh), Christopher and Jeremy (Stephanie), 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Theresa, Asheley and Rita Gallant. Predeceased by her daughter Lillian Deighan, brothers and sister Doris, Russell, Robert and Ellwood. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery on Wednesday June 21st at 10a.m. Donations in Mildred’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
