Passed peacefully away at her home in St. John's with family on June 17, 2017. She lived long beyond the life expectancy of someone with Scleroderma. She was predeceased by her parents, Violet (Young) and Amos Colbourne; her beloved brother Alvin; her sweet baby granddaughter and three other infant brothers. She touched the lives of many strangers, friends, and family in her 71 years. Her three daughters, Angela Dawn (Pavel), Natasha, Deva (Randy); son Bhasker (Christa); granddaughter Adele, as well as Prema and Tom Murthy would like to thank those who have lent their support to our family in recent years. Our sincere gratitude goes out to her physicians, emergency personnel and hospital staff at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare's Hospital. We also want to express special thanks to close relatives and family friends, Dorothy, Eileen, Kenneth, Julie, Sadie, Shirley, Raymond, and Sujay. Celebrations of life will be held in St. John's and Springdale in the coming weeks. Donations can be made in her memory to an animal charity of your choice.

Helena of Troy, words cannot express how much you meant to all of us. You taught us to love, laugh and hate with eloquence. Bobby, Baez and Leonard are the gods you worshipped and shared with us. Now you finally are "Blowin in the Wind."
