It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Francis Doyle announce his passing on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years Eileen (nee Fitzgerald); children: Danny (Christine), Eleanor, Bernice, John, Robert (Nancy), Janet (Todd) and Carolyn; grandchildren: Janice, Jessica, Sean, Hillary, Stephen, Ian, Laura, Ivan and Iva; step-grandchildren: Robert and Laura; great-grandchildren: Lauren and Brooks; brother Leonard (Kay) Doyle; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Doyle and Marguerite (Pat) Whalen; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Annie Doyle; daughter-in-law Susan Doyle; brothers Kevin (Rita) Doyle and James Doyle; sisters Marie (Joe) MacNeil and Rita (Walter) McShane. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
