Peacefully, at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Tuesday, June 19, 2017, of Brendan Edward Wallace, of the Rev. W.J. Phillips Residence, Alberton, and formerly of Elmsdale, age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Roberta E. (nee Adams) Wallace, and father to the late Reginald Wallace (March 15, 2017). Born at Alma, P.E.I., on April 19, 1926, he was the son of the late John P. and Eva (nee Gaudet) Wallace. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Frances Wallace, of Elmsdale, and loving grandfather to: Shelley (Duane) Rennie, of Elmsdale, Tanya (Scott) Harper, of Charlottetown, Alex Wallace, of Elmsdale. Caring great-grandfather to Brandon and Heidi Rennie, Madisyn and Thomas Harper, and Hank Wallace. He will be sadly missed by a very dear friend, Marjorie MacKay, of O'Leary. Dear brother to Catherine (late William) Profit, of Summerside, and brother-in-law to: Eric (Sandra) Adams, of Burlington, Ont., Ruby (Roy) Fraser, of Northport, Lorraine (Fraser) McKinnon, of Summerside, Lillian Adams, of Rosebank, Marge Aukema, of Toronto, Freda Adams, of Moncton, and Lily Riley, of Alberton. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a sister Jean (late Alton) O'Brien, of Alberton, and by brothers, George and Earl. He was also predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-laws, Florence Wallace, Thelma (late Harry) Wells, Ivan Adams, Alvin Adams, Walter Adams, Elmer Adams, Blanche (late Cleve) Hardy, and Gail MacDonald. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel for funeral service at 4 p.m., Rev. Lynn McKinnon officiating. Interment in the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Home Care & Palliative Care would be gratefully appreciated.
