Daphne Snow

DAPHNE SNOW (HOSKINS)
Sept. 12, 1922-May 17, 2017

We, the family of the late Daphne Snow, will be forever grateful for the kindness and support shown to us by family and friends during our dear Mom’s final days.
Special thanks to our brother Gerald and his wife Mary, for making sure Mom’s every wish was fulfilled, to brothers Larry and Philip for the quality time they spent with her in the two weeks prior to her passing, and to sister-in-law Sally and niece Heidi. Special thanks to her sister-in-law, Anne Skanes, for sitting with her in her last moments as it was Mom’s final wish.
Our sincere thanks to some very special people whose expertise and caring was such a comfort to us - Dr. Emmanuel Jones for always being there when we needed reassurance, Archdeacon William Strong for his many visits and prayers in Mom’s hours of spiritual need, Father Al for his visit with Mom, Valerie Westcott for her visits and caring guidance in the medical field, and Rose Mercer, Gail Fillier, and Claire Kent whose presence always made Mom feel so comfortable.
Mom was a quiet lady who didn’t expect a lot in life. She was very wrapped up in her family, her children, grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, and her large circle of dear friends. Her funeral was a celebration of her life led by Archdeacon Strong and Rev. John Sparkes to whom we extend special thanks. To Mary Snow (organist), Gavin Snow (crucifer), and readers Wanda Boone, Andrea Marsh, and Florence Hurley. To Kenneth Snow and Erin Mackey for their beautiful rendition of “Gentle Woman”, and granddaughter Tracy Snow and her cousins Wanda Boone, Leona Dobbin, and Juanita Mackey for singing “How Great Thou Art”. To the Pallbearers - grandsons Michael and Robin Barrett, nephew Calvin Fry, and Mom’s special boys Dwight Snow, Perry Boone, Patrick Mackey, and Randy Dobbin. Mom would have been very proud.
A heartfelt thanks to all who visited the funeral home, sent cards, phoned, sent e-mails, brought food to the home and hall, sent flowers, and expressed sympathy on the funeral home’s website.
Lastly, but not least, a sincere thank you to Slade’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. To Katie and all the family who were so caring and professional - you made our final journey with Mom so special to all of us. We will be forever grateful.
May God bless each and every one of you.
From: Loretta, Joyce, Philip, Gerald, Larry, and all of our families
