It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, Peter Charles McCann, at the age of 57 years after a brief but difficult battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Predeceased by his father Peter Cyril McCann. Left with warm and loving memories are his wife and soulmate Elizabeth; daughter Amanda; son Peter Jr.; stepson Ryan; mother: Teresa McCann; stepfather: Jim Lafitte; brothers: Ray (Marion), Glenn (Joanne), Percy (Aicha), Michael (Pollyanna); sisters: Arlene (Jim Bathgate), Mary (Stephen Davidson), Judy (Greg Beranger) Ann (Theresa Minnett); special nieces Jordan and Jaime Dalley; beloved companion Duke; cherished friends and colleagues Earl Marsh, Paul Cook and Gerry Vardy; as well as a large circle of family and friends. The McCann family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre. As per Peter's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Friday, July 7, 2017 and Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. from Barrett's Funeral Chapel for family and close friends.
