Anwar Naim Bitar – 72, Valley, Colchester County, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Anwar was born September 1, 1944 in Miniyeh, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Naim Bitar and Julia Bitar (Surviving).
Anwar and Julia immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada with his family in 1987. He was a successful entrepreneur and was well known and respected in the community. He was loved by all and will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife, Nazima; children, Naim, Michael, Rana (Andre), Julia (Adam), Christine (Paul); siblings, Edward, Saad, Amine, Fadi, Najla, Amal.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by daughter, Rima.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro from where visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9 from 5-8pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, July 10 at 12 noon in Saint Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2480 Windsor St., Halifax, Father Maximos Saikali officiating.
