Ross Pushie

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Ross MacLean Pushie, announce his passing on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late George and Christine (MacLean) Pushie.
He was predeceased by his wife, Kay (Peters) Pushie.
Ross is survived by his four children, Nancy (Greg MacDonald), Susan Pushie Curtis, Ray (Kim) and Andrew (Julie); nine grandchildren, Ainslie, Ryan, Chistopher, Kayla, Eric, Nicole, Evan, Connor and Sidney, and four great-granddaughters, Brielle and Blakely Buckland, Harper Kay and Maisie MacKinnon.
He is also survived by his sister, Mona (the late Bill Reeves), and brother, John (Dawn) Pushie. Ross also leaves his little, faithful companion, Solomon.
Until retirement, Ross was employed with Sydney Steel. He was past master of St. Andrews Lodge of Cape Breton #7 and a member of the Golden K. Ross was an avid photographer and had a strong love for music, especially when his wife sang with various bands.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 1-3 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 3 p.m., with Norma Mills, DLM and Rev. Thomas Whent officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
