Alma Diamond was born October 2, 1916, at Sandy Cove. She passed away at Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on July 4th 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Alma was a gracious, generous, loving person and a friend to all she met. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, berry-picking, Sunday drives, and of course, her bingo games. Her family meant everything to her. Alma touched many lives on her life’s journey and her influence on those left behind will ensure she is never forgotten. Left with loving memories are her sons Wallace (Rhea), and Matthew (Sandra); daughters Lettie, Gladys (Wayne), and Linda (Jim); 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. She was predeceased by husband George W, daughter Mary Moores, son-in-law Wilson Moores, grandson Ashley Rose, sisters Alice Genge and Selena White, and brothers George Coles, Elias Coles, Lush Coles, Roland Coles, and Wallace Coles. Visitation was held at the United Church in Flowers Cove from where the funeral took place on Friday, July 7th with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. FIllatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
