It is with great sadness the family of Hazel Rebecca Parsons announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home, on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 52 years Loyal; children Basil (Sue) Parsons, Tim (Francene) Parsons, Eliza (Charlie) Parsons, Angela (Bryant) Parsons and Tiffany (Vik) Bhandari; grandchildren: Melissa, Nicholas, Amy (Gordon), Thomas and Kabir; great-grandchildren: Athena, Layla and Logan; brothers and sisters: Dolly (Gerald) Ruth, Freeman (Deserie) Parsons, Vincent (Bernice) Parsons, Mary (Mac) Fradsham, Carl (Pat) Parsons, Perry (Cathy) Parsons, June (Elden) Earle, Lucy Sacrey, Trudy (Shawn) Ricketts, Lana (Wally) Howe and Norman (Jeanne) Parsons; brother-in-law Truman (Karen) Parsons; sister-in-law Susie (Austin) Park, her caregiver Georgina Janes; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Hazel was predeceased by parents Chestley and Avril Parsons; mother and father-in-law Thomas and Ethel Parsons; sisters-in-law: Faith (Eugene) Lovell and Sheila Parsons; brothers-in-law: Richard Parsons, Steve Sacrey and Harvey Park; nephews: Keon Parsons and Manoel Earle. Friends may visit Epiphany Anglican Church, McIvers, on Saturday, July 15th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, July 16th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 17th at 2 p.m. with Reverend Melend officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery in McIvers. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
