Janet Rose Gould ‘Rose Rubby’ of Eskasoni, passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on July 12, 2017.
Born in Eskasoni, she was the daughter of the late Peter P. and Mary Denny.
She was a member of Holy Family parish and the Eskasoni Ladies Club. She operated a convenience and pizza shop for over 50 years and was also an Avon distributor.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Gould; sons, Wilfred and Pierre (Stephanie); grandchildren, William, Samantha, Tamara, Mason, Tianna, Pelonik; great uncle, Roddie Gould; godchildren, Cecilia Paul and Charlene Paul and nephews, Peter Jay Marshall and Bryant Marshall.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Rubby Gould; daughters, Shelly and Laverne; son, Johnny; sister, Mary Helen ‘Eia’ Marshall; niece, Joanne and nephew, Ryan Toney.
Visitation for Mrs. Gould will begin after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18 at 4279 Shore Rd., Eskasoni.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
