Elizabeth Rose ‘Betty’ Creaser

Passed on: July 13th, 2017

Elizabeth Rose ‘Betty’ Creaser, 93 of Dartmouth, passed away on July 13, 2017 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Melvin J. and Estella A. (Conrad) Ritcey. Betty was the last member of her immediate family, her married life was in Sydney. Music was an important part of her life, singing in the church choir and especially as a soloist at weddings and funerals. She was an active church member and enjoyed the friendships she made with the UCW. She would never pass up a game of bridge. Betty was grateful for her life and loved her family dearly. Friends were very important to Betty, especially those she met in the Parkland on the Lakes over the past three years.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Norma) Creaser, Herring Cove; daughter, Bonnie (Dale) Hudson, Dartmouth; five grandchildren, Stephen (Seana Brown) Creaser, Tracy Creaser, Cheryl (Nathan) Myatt, Brian (Avery Maynard) Hudson and Allison Hudson, and five great grandchildren, Erin Burke, Aiden Creaser, Danielle Creaser, Evan Creaser and Clara Myatt.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd; brothers, Gerald, Lloyd, Carvil and Kenneth, and sisters, Mona and Stella.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 17, in St. James United Church, 181 Portland St. Rev. Fred Snyder officiating. Private family burial will take place in Shepherd’s Hill Cemetery, Riverport, NS.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. James United Church.
