Allan E. ‘Spook’ Warren

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, brother and uncle, Allan Ernest ‘Spook’ Warren, age 61, on Friday July 14, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in North Sydney on April 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Mansell and Mabel Etta (Allen) Warren. Allan was employed with the Cape Breton Regional Housing Authority for over 30 years. In earlier years he worked with CN Marine and at the Bartown Pub. He enjoyed helping and spending time with the teams, when his boys played hockey. Allan was an honorary member of the Kinsmen Club of North Sydney and was a handy man who was always willing to help others.
Allan is survived by his two sons, Greg (Krista) and Michael Warren; his brothers, David (Anne Marie) Warren, Arthur Warren and Harold Collier; his sisters, Jean (Paul) Jenkins and Tina Lemoine, also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anne Denise (Hatcher) Warren; brother-in-law, Roy Lemoine.
Visitation for Allan will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church with Rev. Julio Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
