It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Sarah Edna (DesRoches) Morrison, age 85, formerly of Abercrombie and Westville, at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow on Monday, July 17, 2017.
Sarah was the daughter of the late Peter and Harriett (Clements) DesRoches, of Summerside, PEI.
Sarah was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow and Westville.
She is survived by daughters Linda Mayo and Georgina MacFarlane (Arnold); grandmother to Clifford, John, Belinda MacFarlane, Gerald Mayo (Tina), Gina Cameron, and Alvah Mayo; great-grandmother to Barry and Tasha MacFarlane, Brandon and Tyler Cameron, Nathaniel and Breanna Westaway, and Brianna and Jayden Landry; many nieces and nephews; and also sisters-in-law Marge Thompson, Georgina Johnson, and Connie Morrison.
She was predeceased by husband Clifford “Mort” in 1995; brother Joseph “Joe”; sisters Isabella Murphy and several sisters in infancy; and son-in-law Keith Mayo.
Sarah is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joon Ki Kim officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
