Marsh, Lena M. – Age 97, of Parrsboro and formerly of Five Islands passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Port Greville, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Crossman) Dunphy. She is survived by her children, Wayne Dunphy (Helen), Lower Onslow; Susan Marsh, Halifax; Darlene Taggart (Michael), Truro; grandchildren, Angela Andrews (Perry), Edmonton; Shelley Nelson (Troy), Calgary; Ryan Taggart (Krystyna Thomas), Halifax, Jillian Taggart (Colin Roche), Debert; a great grandson, Brayden Andrews. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Gerald Marsh in 1962; a son, Laverne. Also, her friend of many years, Karl Lewis. Visitation will be held 12-2 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating.
