Passed away suddenly but peacefully in the presence of his family on Sunday, July 23, 2017, Michael Francis Squires age 84, retired printer from the Evening Telegram. Predeceased by wife Helen, infant children Anthony and Mary, precious grandson Chris, parents Michael and Mary and his brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn daughters Judy Downton (Wayne), Michelle Davis (Randy) and son Hilary (Jeanette); grandchildren Deirdre, Joshua (Genna), Dennis (Michelle) and Nicole (Norm); great-grandchildren Scarlett, Rowen and Tristan; sister-in-law Margaret Gibbons and special family friend Eleanor Dalton. Special thanks to the staff of Bonaventure Retirement Home/Margaret's Manor for their many years of care, especially Marie and Gerri. Thanks as well to the staff of Saint Luke's Home, Inglewood unit for their exceptional care and support during his last two weeks. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday July 26 from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Street on Thursday, July 27 at 11 a.m. Private family inurnment in St. Vincent's, SMB at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
