Passed peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, July 24, 2017 of Mona Bowlan of Charlottetown, age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter Maurice Bowlan and loving mother of daughters - Rena MacGregor (Robert), Charlene Merriam, Muriel Spears and sons - Roy Mason, Allan Mason, Brent Mason. Mona is also survived by six lovely grandchildren and brother Brent Strickland (Bertha). She was predeceased by her parents Victor Strickland and Hattie Jane Jackson, brothers - Floyd, Clarence and Ambrose Strickland; sisters - Lucy MacNeil and Gloria Pottie. Mona will be greatly missed by her walking partner and true friend Ted Charitakis. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at Central Christian Church at11 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will follow the reception at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the CNIB or the Central Christian Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
