Irene Emily May Lenentine
The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, of Irene Lenentine (nee Nye), beloved wife of the late Walter Lenentine, of Stanchel, age 90. She was the loving mother of Hazen (Ann), David, John (Joyce), Terry (Irene) and Diane Dollar (Eddie), all of Prince Edward Island and Jim of Grand Prairie, Alta.; grandmother of Jeff, Robbie (Jennifer) and Gillian (Corey); Chris and Lori (Gordon); Wayne (Carlie) and Shelley (Claude); Tara (Shaun), Sara (Derek) and Steven (Krystal); and Jodi (Scott), Shawn (Lisa) and Matthew (Rubi); and great-grandmother of seventeen. Irene is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland Lenentine, Mae McCarron and Grace Hayward; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Walter, she was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Catherine (Billet) Nye; her step-mother; and her brother, Peter. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kelly's Cross on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.
