Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the age of 84, Joan Lorraine Hearn. Predeceased by her parents Oswald and Phoebe Avery, brother John and sister Mary, husband John and 2 sons Kevin and Paul. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are 3 daughters Elaine (Melvin), Donna (Scott) and Sharon (Tom); 5 sons Bill (Brenda), Bernard (Donna), John, Steven (Corrine) and David (Ingrid); 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special buddies Toots and Mojo as well as a circle of relatives, friends and neighbours. Thank you to Dr. Keating-Power for her kindness and compassion shown to Joan over the years as well as to all the doctors and staff at the Cancer Clinic and St. Clare's Hospital. Joan had a special love for her family and her days at the cabin and will be missed by all who knew her. Joan's wishes for cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, August 1 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 2 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. She will then be laid to rest with her husband John at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
