Williams, Gladys Elizabeth-89, Roseway Manor, formerly of Shelburne, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2017. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on March 20, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Inez (Goodwin) Abbott. Gladie was a beautiful Christian lady, a Sunday School teacher and pianist of Hope Wesleyan Church for over fifty years. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Marilyn (Jim) Peterson, and Louise White; brother, John (Agnes) Abbott; sister, Marilyn McNeil. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Williams and step-son Rodney Forrester. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Visitation took place on Monday, July 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Hope Wesleyan Church, Sandy Point, where the funeral was held on Tuesday, August 1 at 2p.m. with Rev. Gary Churchill and Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Gideon Bibles, Roseway Manor or charity of choice.
