We the friends of Gordon Gregory MacDonald are saddened to announce his passing on July 23, 2017 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born and brought up in Glace Bay, he travelled throughout the world as an engineer. He was faithfully involved in the 12 Step Program and as a result he built many friendships. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was never known to complain. He was a longtime volunteer at Loaves and Fishes until his health prevented him from continuing. Greg enjoyed the simple things in life. The duck pond, a good movie, or going for coffee with his friend Alex brought joy to his day.
Friends will be gathering at 1 p.m. Friday in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St. from where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes in his memory.
