Paula Annette Travis
It is with deep sadness that must announce the peaceful passing of Paula Annette Travis, age 41, of Amherst. Paula passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.
Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter of Jameszena "Jim" MacArthur Pettigrew and the late Chester Pettigrew.
Paula was a caring, and loving person. Known and loved by all who knew her she was definitely a social butterfly and enjoyed going to bingo. She was a true hockey fan and loved attending the Rambler games, cheering as loud as she could. She had a great sense of humor, but was a straight shooter, never hesitating to share her true feelings.
She will be dearly missed by her loving mother Jim of Amherst; her children, Keely Pettigrew, Oxford, Natasha Pettigrew, Oxford, Justice Pettigrew, Amherst and Brianna Travis, Amherst; siblings Jeremey Pettigrew, Amherst, Jamie Pettigrew, Amherst, Nicole (Jody White) Stewart, Springhill, NS, Tanya, Oxford, NS; nieces and nephews, Justin, Taylor, Jillian, Sadee, Krislyn, Hayley, Morgan, Zaeden, and Mackenzie; her special dog Lil Spot.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777) where visitation will take place on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and on Sunday from 12 noon until 2 pm followed immediately by the funeral service at 2 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2017, Pastor Jonathan Cole officiating.
Those wishing to make a donation in Paula's memory may do so to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
