Passed peacefully away on August 03, 2017, at the Health Sciences Hospital in St. John's, Newfoundland Labrador, Brother Joseph André Manning, CFC, aged 79 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget (nee Smart) Manning and by his sister Regina Horwood. Leaving with fond and loving memories his sisters Frances Martin (Ron, dec.), Teresa Fardy (Gordon, dec.), Maureen and Jim Hagerty, Barb and Gary Young; his brothers Edward and Sandra Manning, Gerald and Barb Manning, and Kevin Manning; as well as his brothers of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Waking at Mount St. Francis, 4 Merrymeeting Road, St. John's, NL A1C 6K8. Visitation: Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 2-4 pm, and from 7-9 pm, and Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2-4 pm, and from 7-9 pm. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, August 6th at 8 pm at Mount St. Francis. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 7th at 9:30 am in The Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment will follow in the Brothers' plot in Belvedere Cemetery.
