TRUDEL, Richard - Peacefully with his family at his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday August 9, 2017. He was 84. Loving husband for 56 years to Reina (Patenaude) Trudel. Dear father of Monique Wilson (Terry), Denise Body (Nicholas), Pierre (Christine Guillebaud), and Anne (Brian Hall). Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Daniel, Emma, Emilie, Franny, Liam, Arianne, Thomas, and step grand children Sarah, Jessica. Survived by two brothers Jacques Trudel (Nicole), Blair Trudel (Loretta) and two sisters, Madeleine Mahoney (Jim) and Lise Roy (Claude). Predeaceased by his parents, Arthur and Annette (Blais) Trudel and one brother, Robert Trudel (Vivian). Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the M. JOHN SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME , 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Monday from 7 - 9pm and on Tuesday from 9-9:30am. Funeral Mass, Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 10 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal, Notre Dame Cemetery to follow. He was long standing member of the Knights of Columbus 755 and Cornwall Curling Club, an avid fisherman and wood worker. He was a high school shop teacher at General Vanier for 27 years and tool and die designer by trade. He was never short on words and will be dearly missed for all his stories and jokes. We love you.
