It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our husband, step-dad and Papa, Arthur “Art” Wesley Paugh, with family by his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Saturday, August 12, 2017, aged 73. Art leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Paugh (nee Buote); fur baby, Holly; step-daughters, Marsha Doiron, Kelly Mighty (Shane), Tracy Brown (Ian) and Keri Lawrence; treasured grandchildren, Zackary, Connor, Othneil, Danieka, soon expecting baby Mighty, Marissa, Matthew, Taylor, Hannah and Evan. He is also survived by his sisters, Martha Watson of St. Catherines, Ontario, Erma Palmer (Charles) of Summerside, Eleanor MacNevin (Ed), of Toronto, Ontario, Lois Arsenault (Leonard), of Summerside and Myrtle Arsenault (Homer), of Niagra Falls, Ontario; and brother, Ronnie Paugh (Hazel), of Niagra Falls, Ontario. Art will also be greatly missed by many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He was predeceased by his parents Leigh and Velma (Lidstone) Paugh; sister, Etta Selseotes; brother, Urban Paugh; common law wife, Marjorie Monsinger; mother-in-law, Mary Buote; and father-in-law, Edward Buote. Art lived a full vibrant life. He loved his “Art of Karaoke” business and spent many hours in “Papas Workshop” building special keepsakes. He enjoyed camping each and every year at Marco Polo Land. He was a NASCAR racing fan, loved his daily visits to the coffee shop in Rustico and visiting friends at “Little Art’s” garage. Art shared his wealth of knowledge of many trades helping endless friends. He loved his morning coffee chats with Linda on their deck. Papa was the best grandfather with all the kids by his gentle touch and bright smile. He will remain forever in our hearts. Until we meet again. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held at New Glasgow Christian Church, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. Interment in New Glasgow Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Art’s memory to the White Cross Program - Canadian Mental Health Association P.E.I. would be appreciated.
