Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers, in the presence of her loving family, following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, Theresa Mary Pennell (nee Sutton), of Trepassey, aged 80 years. Predeceased by husband Herbert, daughter Barbara Ann, parents Michael and Sarah Sutton, parents-in-law Richard and Catherine Pennell, brothers Martin, Harry and Francis, sisters Rita and husband Cyril Waddleton, Blanche and husband Reg Waddleton, brother-in-law Louis Pennell and nephew Kenneth Pennell. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her sons Michael (Colleen) and Gary (Deena), her daughter Yvonne (Dennis) Fleming, grandchildren Joshua, Makayla, Bray, Calum, Connor and Sarah, sister Mary Perry (Ian), brothers Tom (Mary) and Kevin, sister-in-law Marie Pennell and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you is extended to the staff of 2 Southwest Pleasant View Towers Long Term Care Home for the exceptional care provided to mom over the last three years. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home in Trepassey on Saturday August 19th, 5pm - 6pm (family only) and 6pm - 9pm, Sunday August 20th 2pm - 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place at Holy Redeemer Church in Trepassey on Monday August 21st at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Trepassey. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
