A loving, gentle, kind, generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mercedes is lovingly remembered by her husband Gerard (Gerry), children Mike (Kim Kelly), Sean, Kelly Hiscock (Jim) and Andrea Krushel (Rob) and grandchildren whom she loved and adored Alyssa and Evan Maher (and their mother Denise), Mackenzie and Reegan Hiscock and Ben Krushel. Also leaving to mourn her siblings Mary Fahey (Raymond), Ken Byrne (June), Ronnie Byrne (Agnes), Elizabeth Barnes (Richard), Shelia Hennessey (Mike), Catherine Conway (Bob), Maureen Quinn, as well as sisters-in-law Shirley Thorne Temple and Bride Maher and a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family. She is also remembered by her special card buddies. She is now reunited with her parents Frances and Ronald Byrne, brothers John, Gerry and Paul Byrne, sister-in-law Zita Byrne, brothers-in-law Jim Quinn and Jim Doran and nephew Aodhan Joyce. Cremation has taken place; the family will be accepting visitors at Caul's Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Tuesday from 11 am - 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Street on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 9:30 am with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or St. Patrick's Church.
