John Gilbert “Jack” Spencer age 83 of Abercrombie passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2017 at home.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Wilson Charles “Pete” and Jennie Esther (Fraser) Spencer.
Jack was retired from the CNR where he served as the union representative for many years.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Pelerine), Abercrombie; daughter Sherry (John) Adamson, Abercrombie; brother Harold, Chilliwack, BC; sister Jane (Andy) Palmer, Port Hawkesbury; sister-in-law Doris MacLean, New Glasgow; brothers-in-law Bill Pelerine, Stellarton and Wayne Pelerine, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Stuart.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation at Jack’s request. A private family service will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow with father Tom MacNeil officiating.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to a charity of your choice.
