MICHAEL BEAR
1954 – 2017

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael George Bear (aka “Balboa”). Michael was born in Sandy Bay, SK on Friday, February 12, 1954 and passed away peacefully with his sons by his side on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the age of 63 years. Michael will be remembered as a great provider for his family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoor life! People in his community knew they could depend on Michael for traditional food, attributes he learned from his parents. He loved to joke around with family and friends. Throughout his life he worked as a miner, a carpenter and a commercial fisherman. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a fighter to the end, like Balboa. A prayer service for Michael will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at River Park Funeral Home.
